Edwin Meese III, who served as the nation’s 75th attorney general, joined The Heritage Foundation in 1988 as the think tank’s first Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow. He went on to oversee the legal and judicial studies center at Heritage that now bears his name and currently is Ronald Reagan Distinguished Fellow Emeritus.
