Have Liberals Run Out of Ideas? Why One Writer Claims the Left Is ‘Intellectually Dead’

War on women. Minimum wage. Climate change.

Do you agree/disagree with @KevinNR’s belief that the left is “intellectually bankrupt”?

You hear liberals talking about these same topics all the time. Why?

Kevin Williamson of National Review believes it’s because the left is struggling to deliver new ideas and policies.

“I can’t remember the last time I heard a new idea from the left; they’re intellectually bankrupt,” Williamson told an audience at The Heritage Foundation for an event, “Where is Liberalism Going?”

Williamson joined William Voegeli, senior editor of the Claremont Review of Books, and David Azerrad, director of The Heritage Foundation’s B. Kenneth Simon Center for Principles and Politics, on a panel moderated by Ben Domenech, editor of The Federalist, to discuss the future of liberalism and how conservatives can take action to thwart its coming agenda.

In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
