Ossoff Launches Epstein Ad Against Collins in Heated Senate Race

U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff launched an attack against Republican senatorial candidate Rep. Mike Collins this past week amid President Donald Trump’s claims of 2020 election fraud.

Last Thursday, Trump gave a national address to discuss 2020 election fraud, leading some to question if the senator’s ads, which mentioned the Epstein files, were intended to counter any negative impact from the president.

The ads claim Collins sided with protecting powerful elites, while Ossoff has worked to protect children.

“Mike Collins voted to cover up the Epstein files, even after we learned girls as young as 14 were abused. Sen. Ossoff has a track record exposing abuse and corruption, and he cares deeply about protecting vulnerable children,” Ossoff Campaign Manager Ellen Foster told the Daily Signal.

In the ad, Ossoff’s campaign specifically knocks Collins’ July 15, 2025, vote against releasing the Epstein files, and proceeds to praise the Democrat senator for his legislation to end child sex trafficking. Collins later reversed his stance on the release of the files.

A spokesperson for the Collins campaign told the Daily Signal that the ads are a diversion from talking about issues that affect Georgians.

“While Georgians struggle to make ends meet and are in desperate need of support, Jon Ossoff remains focused on spreading misinformation and smear campaigns with money given to him by Epstein associates,” the spokesperson said. “Rep. Collins’ sole focus is fixed on delivering real results for Georgia’s working families by lowering costs, creating safer communities, and expanding opportunities through education.”

When it comes to ads, Ossoff currently holds enormous spending power over Collins. His campaign raised $20 million during the second quarter and has $42 million in reserve. The Collins campaign raised just $2.1 million in the same period.

“Sen. Ossoff certainly has the money to overwhelm Rep. Collins through all forms of media,” Kerwin Swint, a political science professor at Kennesaw State University, told the Daily Signal. “Sen. Ossoff doesn’t want to talk about his record because it is left-of-center, and Georgia is a center-right state.”

Given the financial gap between Ossoff and Collins, some are wondering if Republican groups will step in soon to back Collins with financial contributions. Swint predicted that Ossoff’s “strategy will be a multimillion-dollar attack on Mike Collins’ character.”

This all comes after the tight race Ossoff won in 2021, where he narrowly defeated incumbent Republican Sen. David Perdue by a 50.6%-49.4% margin. Perdue served as U.S. senator for Georgia from 2015 to 2021.

Collins has recently taken his own jabs at the senator, calling him an “out-of-touch, far-left liberal” who is “weak” and “woke,” Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
