Fox News Is Back on Dish Network

After a weeks-long dispute, Fox News is back on Dish.

Reuters reports that Dish customers can once again access the Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network “after both sides agreed to a multiyear deal.”

“We are pleased to announce that Fox News and Fox Business have been restored as a result of our reaching a new, long term agreement with Fox,” Dish wrote on their website dishstandsforyou.com. “[W]e thank you for your patience as we worked towards an agreement.”

“I know this has been a frustrating several weeks for some of our customers,” Dish Network co-founder and chairman Charlie Ergen said in a statement.

The Daily Signal recently reported that contract renewal negotiations between 21st Century Fox and Dish Network came to a standstill after Dish rejected an increase in price for channels including Fox News and Fox Business.

During the dispute, Fox encouraged viewers to switch cable providers. Hosts Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly even released an ad urging viewers to “drop DISH.”  Fox was temporarily replaced by The Blaze on Dish’s lineup.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Fox Business will be available to more Dish subscribers, and will receive a channel position closer to Fox News “as part of the agreement.”

On their site keepfoxnews.com, Fox thanked viewers for their patience and support.
