Iran Will Fall Within the Year: Amit Segal and Josh Hammer

U.S.-Israeli military and diplomatic pressure will lead the Iranian regime to crumble within the next year, Israeli and Jewish American political commentators told the Daily Signal in Israel.

That is, unless “Israel fatigue” undermines the effort.

Iran is losing $450 million [a day] through the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz,” Amit Segal told the Daily Signal, before adding that Iran’s losses on the economic, social, and military fronts have sped up the fall of the Iranian hostility.

Iran is currently weakened by American and Israeli strikes, ongoing since June 2025, which claimed the lives of the regime’s top officials, virtually wiped out its air force and navy, and damaged infrastructure, ammunition, and weaponry. President Donald Trump announced the commencement of military operations against Iran last year, citing the need to stop the regime before it reached its nuclear ambitions.

Additionally, since the commencement of the retaliation against the regime in Operation Midnight Hammer last June, about 30% of the regime’s missile capabilities have been eliminated as of March.

However, despite the advancements, the commentators said that the potential fall of the Iranian regime could be at risk because Israel is losing the support of Western nations.

Segal told the Daily Signal that the Western world’s growing rejection of Israel stems from what he describes as “Israel fatigue.” This weariness has led people to ignore conflict in the Middle East and withhold support for the war, which Trump claimed would last weeks or months.

As a result, a lack of international support plus global efforts to obstruct the Israeli military has “slowed Israel’s military progress,” prolonging the war, according to Segal.

“Israel fatigue” also has created an opening for Westerners to begin embracing anti-Israel propaganda and antisemitism.

“You wake up in the morning in Oklahoma or Washington, D.C., or New York City or San Francisco … and you keep hearing about a tiny country that is a 12-hours flight from here,” Segal said. “And then you’ll hear that they fight Hamas in Gaza, they fight in Syria, and in Iran. It’s not surprising that you might come … to the conclusion that the Israel is actually the aggressor.”

Josh Hammer, an American Jewish lawyer and Newsweek’s senior editor at large, echoed Segal’s remarks.

Segal added that the best solution to this problem is to win the war Israel is fighting against Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas.

“I think that the best remedy for this situation is to decisively win this war and stop fighting for a few years,” Segal continued.

As seen in the recent week, Israel has progressed its campaign to win.

The Israeli military has engaged in recent air strikes on multiple fronts, including against Iranian funded radical militants occupying parts of Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and Yemen.

After the Iranian regime fired a barrage of ballistic missiles against civilians in Israel last week, which were intercepted before they hit the ground, Israel intensified strikes against Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon. Israel then began strikes in Iran as well.

In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
