The second family hosted a Halloween party on Saturday night, featuring trick or treating, Harry Potter-themed decorations, and a soup collection for the hungry.

“Halloween is a wonderful time to bring together family, friends, and neighbors and celebrate the spirit of community,” Second Lady Usha Vance said in a statement to the Daily Signal. “This year, we carried that spirit forward by hosting a canned food drive at the vice president’s residence Halloween. It’s a meaningful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.”

Vice President JD Vance’s four children—Mirabel, Vivek, Ewan, and baby Alec—donned Harry Potter costumes and trick or treated on the Naval Observatory property with other children whose parents have security details, preventing them from collecting candy in their neighborhoods. Usha Vance dressed as the sorting hat, while JD Vance dressed as Professor Dumbledore.

Ewan was Harry Potter, Vivek was the spider Aragog, Mirabel was a dragon, and Alec dressed as Dobby the elf.
This was the second annual Halloween at the vice president’s residence.
Guests who attended the event were families from the administration, staff, military, Secret Service, the Naval Observatory, and more.
