Ben Carson Brings American History to Cartoon in ‘Star Spangled Adventures: The Movie’
Dr. Ben Carson is showing that the classroom isn’t the only place children can learn about the Lewis and Clark expedition and the Declaration of Independence.
The president of the American Cornerstone Institute has led the production of “Star Spangled Adventures: The Movie,” which will premiere June 14 at the Trump Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Part of the Freedom 250 Initiative, the event will include family activities and a color guard presentation before a screening of the film.
Featuring Carson as one of the characters, the film is part of the American Cornerstone Institute’s Little Patriots initiative to foster American values among kids by telling the great stories of our nation.
“Nothing is more wonderful than the art of being free, but nothing is harder to learn how to use than freedom,” said a character in the movie’s trailer. “You are Americans, and that means you have freedoms and rights. But that also means you have responsibilities, and one of them is to know what America stands for.”
Throughout the movie, Liberty the Eagle acts as a guide and takes viewers from the earliest days of the nation’s founding to momentous events of the last century. Each scene recounts milestones in America’s story and the role of the men and women who shaped our nation.
Starring Kevin Sorbo and Rich Little as voice actors, “Star Spangled Adventures: The Movie” tells vignettes of American history in the voices of modern celebrities.
