On today’s podcast we feature an interview with Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, an advocacy group for small businesses. Ortiz and his organization played a critical role in passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017. Now he’s working to defend tax reform and fight proposals such as the Green New Deal.
Ortiz made headlines last week when Job Creators Network purchased a “Thanks for Nothing, AOC” billboard in Times Square. The billboard calls out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for her opposition to Amazon’s scrapped plans to build a New York headquarters. (See the photo below.)
Also on today’s show:
- Mykala Steadman talks to Janine Stange about a letter-writing campaign for Medal of Honor recipients. Stange was the subject of a Daily Signal profile when she was singing the national anthem in all 50 states. If you’d like to contribute a letter, visit Stange’s website.
- Your letters to the editor. Next week your letter could be featured on our show; write us at [email protected] or call 202-608-6205.

The Daily Signal’s own Tyler O’Neil exposes this leftist cabal in his new book, The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government.
In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
