It’s been 10 years since the death of William F. Buckley Jr. and his legacy continues to shape the conservative movement and America in many notable ways.
At an event Thursday sponsored by National Review Institute and The Heritage Foundation, his former colleagues at National Review and other conservative publications celebrated is life and recalled their favorite Buckley memories.
Speakers included John O’Sullivan, senior fellow at NRI, editor-at-large of National Review, and president of the Danube Institute; Kathryn Jean Lopez, senior fellow at NRI and editor-at-large of National Review; Stephen Hayes, editor-in-chief of The Weekly Standard and Fox News contributor; and Matthew Continetti, editor-in-chief of The Washington Free Beacon. The event was moderated by Lee Edwards, distinguished fellow in conservative thought at The Heritage Foundation.
