Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., spoke with The Daily Signal about the fight against ISIS and the Trump administration’s commitment to the war on terrorism during a visit Tuesday to The Heritage Foundation in Washington.
Having just returned from Afghanistan, McCain offered his assessment of the military’s role there but also criticized U.S. leadership for lacking a long-term strategy for finishing the job.
When it comes to President Donald Trump, McCain says the rule to follow is this: “Disregard the tweets, look at what he does. And what he has done is pretty impressive.”
