America’s largest pro-life voter contact program announced that their canvassers have already made more than two million visits to voters’ homes this election cycle, according to an exclusive press release obtained by the Daily Signal.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC contact low-turnout voters through door-knocking, advertising, voter contact mail, and early vote campaigns. They previously announced that they aimed to contact 10.5 million voters in the 2025-2026 election cycle.
“America is at a crossroads when it comes to protecting the unalienable right to life for all people,” SBA president Marjorie Dannenfelser said. “Our efforts this midterm cycle will not only drive turnout but also reach those who are persuaded by the life issue to change their votes.”
SBA has targeted their canvassing in battleground states such as Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Montana, South Carolina, and Iowa, where pro-life politicians are running for governor, House, and Senate.
Visits Reveal Current Voter Stance on Abortion
The pro-life issue remains a major issue for many voters, and advocating for full-term abortions does not help politicians gain support from their voter base, according to Dannenfelser.
“Through these millions of persuasive conversations, our canvassers continue to find that the extremism of the Democrats and their no-limits, all-trimester abortion agenda are as unpopular as ever,” Dannenfelser said.

There is a message about the Democrats that SBA makes sure to bring to every state.
“It’s that the Democrats have become the party of the position of no limits whatsoever on abortion, and if they get a majority, and they will pass the so-called ‘Women’s Protection Act’ and ban states from having pro-life laws and establish abortion at any point in pregnancy in every single state across the nation,” SBA communications director Kelsey Pritchard said.
Voters don’t want politicians who will fight for abortion at any point in pregnancy.
“And that is what is energizing some of these low propensity pro-life voters to show up and vote this time around and commit to do so,” Pritchard said. “And it’s also moving some of those middle of the road voters who are planning to vote for the Democrat or tend to vote for Democrats sometimes to rethink how they’re going to vote.”
And as much as Democrats lose voters over abortion issues, Republicans have to take a pro-life stance to maintain their supporters.
“One-third of GOP voters say they will be less enthusiastic about voting in November if Republican leaders abandon pro-life policies,” Dannenfelser said. “Getting abortion drugs out of the mail and renewing the defunding of Big Abortion should be ethical and political priorities for Republicans.”
Currently, 1.1 million abortions happen annually in America—more than were taking place before Roe vs. Wade was overturned in 2022. The number is up, thanks to former President Joe Biden allowing mail-order abortion drugs without required in-person visits. But the power to lower the number of abortions is in the hands of politicians, according to Pritchard.
“If the Trump administration decided to do the right thing today, they would immediately save 15,000 lives every single month, because that’s how many abortions are happening in states that have some sort of pro-life protection, but that’s being almost completely nullified by the Biden rule that just sits on the books.”
Pritchard noted that the GOP should consider what pro-life voters want, because they’re integral to election success.
“Had 1-2% of pro-life voters stayed home in 2024, Trump would not be president,” Pritchard said. “And so, we’re constantly trying to remind our Republican friends in the administration and on the Capitol that pro-life action is not only the right thing to do; it’s the politically smart thing to do.”
It’s not just the older generation that wants restrictions on abortion. Young people also care about electing politicians who will fight for life, according to one student canvasser.
“Young Americans are increasingly pro-life, so it’s not surprise students are a superpower behind the biggest pro-life ground game ever,” Kendall Hadley said. “When people hear our message at the doors, and they learn how extreme some of our laws and elected officials are on abortion, hearts and minds can change right in front of us, and it’s a powerful gateway to get to talk about the value of all human life.”
Half of SBA’s 2 million visits this cycle were made by student canvassers from more than 100 universities. They’re helping SBA set a record-breaking number of visits in certain states.
“It’s a group of around 600 students that makes up that team, and they’ve been in Wisconsin, and they just hit 300,000 voter visits there, surpassing expectations like they usually do. They bring just a full level of enthusiasm and excitement. They’re some of our best door knockers, and they’re just on fire to be a part of the solution on this issue.”
According to Hadley, encouraging voters to defend life is fulfilling work.
“For anyone looking to spend summer break making a meaningful difference in our country, I think there’s no greater cause than advocating for these babies and their moms,” Hadley said.
SBA’s home visits make a deeper impression on voters than YouTube ads can.
“We’re proud of our tremendous pro-life field team who’ve been on the ground for months talking to voters face to face at their doors, reaching ordinary citizens in ways ads cannot,” Dannenfelser said.
