Former Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., was quick to insinuate racism.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid joined in the racism speculation:

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes discussed how there should be a “bulwark” against Trump, and talked about it being the work of “civil society,” “the Fourth Estate,” “citizens,” and more.
Journalist Jonathan Capehart speculated that the election results showed American voters were over democracy.
