The Daily Signal traveled to Houston, Texas to attend President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” rally. While we were there we talked to attendees about one of the most important issues to them—immigration and the migrant caravan traveling to the southern U.S. border.
“I’m an immigrant from Mexico,” one attendee told us. “We paid a lot of money to become legal. My family, my mom, my dad, we’re all here legally.”
“I have a lot of friends who are here legally,” another supporter said. “It’s not fair that they’ve gone through the process and then there are people just coming over illegally while these people are waiting years and years and years just to get green card citizenship. It’s just not fair.”
“Get here legally and we’ll welcome you here,” another rally-goer says.
