BIOGRAPHY

Lauren writes a weekly column covering Texas culture and politics, often providing the metanarrative of how policies affect the state and its citizens.
Lauren Washburn grew up in the Dallas, Texas area and graduated from Hillsdale College with a major in history and minor in journalism. She currently works as an executive assistant at American Studio, and formerly served as a research analyst for Dr. Phil Primetime and an intern reporter for The Center Square. She’s also a contributor at Lincoln Media Foundation, a Texas columnist at The Daily Signal, and has written for outlets such as The Federalist, Washington Examiner, and The American Spectator.
