In one of the most scrutinized midterm races across the country, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has endorsed Rep. Mike Collins, the Republican candidate running for Senate against Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff.

According to a Collins campaign press release, Kemp commended Collins for his sound leadership, good results, and pledge to put the state above all else.

In his endorsement, Kemp said, “Mike Collins and I share a commitment to making Georgia an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. Mike has delivered results as a businessman and commonsense leader in Washington, and that’s what we need in our next Senator.”

He continued, “Jon Ossoff’s far-left agenda doesn’t represent Georgia values, and the future of our state and country demands a different direction. I’m proud to endorse Mike Collins for the U.S. Senate, and I know he’ll always put Georgia first.”

In response, Collins commended Georgia’s governor for his leadership in the state and unequivocally said that they are united to win the race, the press release states.

Following Kemp’s endorsement, Collins said, “I’m honored to have Governor Kemp’s endorsement and even more proud to call him a friend. Governor Kemp has never been afraid of a tough fight, and Georgia is stronger today because he’s been willing to take them on.”

“I’m grateful to have him standing with me to take back Georgia’s Senate seat, stand up to the far-left agenda, and defeat Jon Ossoff this November,” he continued.

Recently, Ossoff was joined by Democrat gubernatorial nominee and former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms at a rally in Athens, Georgia.

At the rally, Ossoff chided Collins for his attendance at last week’s Republican National Committee Midterm Convention, citing Collins’ attendance at the convention amid the economy’s rising costs.

Meanwhile, Collins toured a hospital with Dr. Mehmet Oz from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, focusing on nearly $219 million in “new federal funding for Georgia health care through a Trump-backed tax-and-spending law.”

The tactics of this Senate race have been heating up as well. Ossoff’s campaign released a graphic on social media that says, “Get paid to be an Ossoff Community Mobilizer.”

The graphic says that each person who participates in the “one hour-long onboarding” will get $100.

Today, even with President Trump’s victory, leftist elites have their tentacles in every aspect of our government.

The Daily Signal’s own Tyler O’Neil exposes this leftist cabal in his new book, The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government.

In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
