“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy joined Republican Senate candidate Michele Tafoya at Keys Café in Roseville, Minnesota, Wednesday morning, where supporters gathered as early as 4 a.m.

“In every election, it comes down to enthusiasm,” Doocy said. For Republicans, that enthusiasm comes as the party sees an opportunity to win a Minnesota Senate seat for the first time in more than two decades.

“We do have a great chance,” Tafoya said. “We’re going to find out what Minnesota thinks in six days.”

Fox News Power Rankings now rates the Senate race “Lean Democrat” as Tafoya tightens the race.

More than 419,000 early votes have already been cast in Minnesota, according to On Point Politics. However, Doocy noted that Republicans have traditionally been more likely to vote on Election Day, making turnout on Nov. 3 critical for the former sportscaster.

Tafoya noted that 200,000 Minnesota Republicans did not vote in the last midterm elections, arguing that Republican turnout could make the difference this year.

“No, you’ve got to get there and vote.” Tafoya said, “Your vote matters in this midterm more than ever.”

Tafoya is also asking voters to judge her opponent, Peggy Flanagan, on the record of the Walz administration, arguing that the lieutenant governor cannot distance herself from controversies that occurred when she was second in command.

“Peggy Flanagan has been attached to Tim Walz from day one,” Tafoya said, pointing to what she described as the failed record of the current administration. “When they were sworn in together, it was the Walz-Flanagan administration.”

“She cannot cherry-pick what she’s responsible for and what she is not,” Tafoya continued. “This fraud happened under her watch. You don’t get a promotion when that happens.”

Tafoya says she is the candidate who will create change in Minnesota. A diner asked her what she would do if elected to the Senate. The candidate pointed to bipartisanship as one of her first priorities.

“I love this question,” Tafoya said. “I’m going to knock on the ninety-nine doors of the other senators and say, “How can we work together?’”

Another diner told Tafoya, “I’m just really happy that you’re working for us, and you’re going to go to Washington. You’ve got a lot of grit.”

“I’m doing this for these people, for all of Minnesota,” Tafoya told Doocy. “We have been hurting here for eight years, and we need change. We are desperate for it.”

Her final message to supporters Wednesday morning: “Get out and vote.”

Today, even with President Trump’s victory, leftist elites have their tentacles in every aspect of our government.

The Daily Signal’s own Tyler O’Neil exposes this leftist cabal in his new book, The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government.

In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
