Court Docs: Woman Distributed Stephen Miller’s Home Address, Promised to ‘Make His Life Hell’

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—A woman in Virginia distributed leaflets that listed White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller’s address and labeled him as a Nazi,” court documents show.

A court affidavit revealed that the Virginia State Police seized the phone of Barbara Wien, a retired university professor who allegedly posted fliers in Miller’s neighborhood that included his address and damning accusations against him, according to The New York Times. In addition to the address, the flier accused Miller of being “wanted for crimes against humanity” and included the slogan, “No Nazis in NOVA,” an acronym for Northern Virginia.

Miller’s wife, Katie, informed the police about the leaflet and said that she witnessed Wien make a gesture at her by “pointing her index and middle fingers to her own eyes and then pointing directly,” according to the Times. Secret Service camera footage appeared to confirm this, which Katie interpreted as “a threatening act intended to intimidate or harass her.”

“Mrs. Miller interpreted this gesture to mean, ‘I’m watching you,’ and perceived it as a threatening act intended to intimidate or harass her,” the affidavit said. “Based on the timing, context and manner of the gesture, the action is being treated as a potential act of intimidation in furtherance of the conduct under investigation.”

Wien has not currently been charged with any crimes, though the state police is investigating whether she violated a Virginia law that makes it a misdemeanor to provide information “with the intent to coerce, intimidate or harass another person,” according to the Times.

The affidavit also notes that police in Fairfax County acquired a text message that Wien sent to a WhatsApp group in April, where she referred to Miller as “the evil fascist behind family separations and deportation policies,” according to the Times. She vowed to “make [Miller’s] life hell” by organizing a “Showing Up For Racial Justice” chapter.

“His wife sits their smugly swilling wine on their patio, while her husband orders the arrest of more and more of our Muslim, Arab American, and Hispanic brothers and sisters,” Wien wrote, according to the affidavit. “My Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) chapter in N. Virginia intends to make his life hell. We have set up a carefully vetted Signal group.”

Miller put his home in Arlington, Virginia, up for sale on Oct. 16 after left-wing protesters wrote threatening messages in chalk in front of his property. Some of the messages stated, “Stephen Miller is preying on families,” “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy,” “no white nationalism” and “trans rights are human rights.”

Katie wrote on X that the Left was “trying to intimidate” her family “in the house where [they] have three young children.”

“We will not back down. We will not cower in fear. We will double down,” she wrote on Sept. 14.
