‘The Kevin Roberts Show’ Is Back  

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts debuted the new format for his show Wednesday, introducing conservative radio personality Larry O’Connor as his new co-host. Together, Roberts and O’Connor will host weekly conversations exploring the ideas, principles, and values they believe are essential for America’s success. 

Roberts, host of “The Kevin Roberts Show” for over three years, says he’s excited to be joined by his favorite radio host. O’Connor has been on the radio since 2010 and is a conservative political commentator who frequently guest stars on Fox News.  

On the first episode, the two discussed one of the most pressing challenges facing our country today: the housing crisis.  

“The 2028 presidential election is going to be won or lost on which side better explains the solution to the housing crisis,” Roberts predicted.  

O’Connor asked Roberts if he thinks the reason for the affordability and housing crisis was because of “too much government intrusion and manipulation of the markets in the first place.”  

“That’s 80% of the problem,” Roberts responded. “All the way from homebuilding … to permitting, mortgages, lending, all of that. The government is way too involved.” 

Beyond policy, the hosts also reflect on the American dream, exploring what it truly means to live it in today’s America.  

“The American dream is not what a certain candidate for mayor in New York City defines it to be,” Roberts said, hinting at Zohran Mamdani’s socialist dream for NYC. “Rather, it is that every American gets the equal opportunity to flourish.”  

Roberts shared a personal story about helping organize Pat Buchanan’s campaign rally in 1992, which cemented his belief in the American dream.  

“Ever since then, I’ve thought, regardless of whatever the obstacles are for me or another American, get over yourself. And remember that we get to wake up and call ourselves Americans, it’s the greatest blessing any group of people has ever had in the history of the world.”    

Next week, Roberts and O’Connor will tackle immigration and border security, and will answer the burning question, “If you don’t have borders, are you even a country?”
