Dr. Gary Saul Morson is the Lawrence B. Dumas professor of the Arts and Humanities and professor of Slavic Languages at Northwestern University. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he has won two awards for best book of the year, in comparative literature and in Slavic literatures.
