SCOOP: Vance to Speak on Fraud Efforts in Kansas City Monday

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Vice President JD Vance will hold a press conference Monday at a federal law enforcement facility in Kansas City, Mo., to discuss his fraud crackdown, the Daily Signal can first report.

While he’s there, Vance will also hold a rally at a manufacturing facility as part of a MAGA Inc. event.

Vance is engaged in a pre-midterm tour around the country. He has visited various battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Maine, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and others.

Vance is the chair of then White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud. He has stopped $260 million in Medicaid payments to Minnesota over fraud allegations, suspended fraudulent home health providers in California, uncovered $6.3 billion in government contracting fraud, and taken other enforcement actions, according to the White House.

In a recent press conference, Vance said that if Democrats win midterms, they will allow such fraud to continue.

“The Democrats have taken the side of fraudsters, of criminals, and of far-left interest groups over the side of the American people,” he said.

“We are trying to take money out of the hands of fraudsters, so that people who rely on Medicaid or people rely on food stamp benefits, they’re able to get what they need because we’ve ensured that Americans’ people’s tax dollars actually go where it’s supposed to go, rather than fraudsters,” he continued. “Democrats have fought for the fraudsters, and Republicans have fought for the people who deserve these benefits and the American taxpayers who are paying those benefits.”
