One of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s top advisers is getting flak for supporting communists and planning to deprive Americans of their God-given rights, and what’s her response?
Crying.
Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant director, made news for her past comments that have now gone viral.
I’ll list some of the “highlights.” She’s called for the collectivization of property (which she said will particularly affect white families); she’s called property ownership a tool of “white supremacy”; she supports the impoverishment of the white middle class; and has called for the election of communists.
The new director also said it’s important for “white people to feel defeated.”
Weaver is white, but she’s clearly adopted the modern Marxist framework: Kulaks are bad and need to be punished, but the white Kulaks are worse.
Thankfully, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon in the Department of Justice has put the Mamdani’s administration on “notice” that racial discrimination is illegal and won’t be tolerated.
Still, that this person is working for the mayor of the financial capital of the United States is concerning, yet not surprising. This wasn’t a vetting issue.
Mamdani made it clear he intends to govern as a socialist and he and Weaver seem very much aligned.
On a podcast in 2021, unearthed by The Washington Free Beacon’s Jon Levine, Mamdani says, “I get most of my knowledge on housing from Cea, so if you get it from me, it’s just not coming from the source.”
Weaver, a Marxist whose goal seems to be punishing middle-class white people, clearly has the ear of one of the most powerful men in America. New Yorkers and Americans have a right to ask questions and demand answers about whether Weaver and Mamdani intend to carry out an agenda that appears to be both racist and illegal.
But Weaver, who seemed so giddy about ruining the lives of middle-class white people, crumbled as soon as she was asked basic questions about her agenda.
She literally broke down crying when a journalist asked her about a reported $1.4 million home her mother owned and quickly skedaddled away from cameras as fast as she could.
Her supporters were quick to say that “piling on” this “young,” (37-year-old) woman was mean and unfair.
Again, this is a high-level official in public media, who seems to revel in the fact that her policy ideas may hurt her apparent enemies. Why on earth should she be excluded from public criticism?
The Marxists of our day are apparently both cruel and soft, as foreign policy expert Vladislav Davidson rightfully noted on X.
You can bet that Weaver’s supporters on the Left will continue to use her outbursts as an excuse for her to dodge criticism and pursue her policy agenda without hindrance. This is called “crybullying.”
But make no mistake, Weaver and company have no intent on changing course. They only regret the words that got them in hot water, not their ruinous ideology.
