A University of Michigan sponsored social event showing “American Sniper” was canceled in response to a protest letter claiming, “The movie ‘American Sniper’ not only tolerates but promotes anti-Muslim and anti-MENA [Muslim, Middle Eastern and North African] rhetoric and sympathizes with a mass killer.”
The school reversed it’s decision and will show “American Sniper” as originally scheduled in deference to freedom of expression.
