Mehek Cooke

Mehek Cooke is senior national security and legal analyst for the Daily Signal. She covers national security, immigration, and legal issues shaping the news, delivering reporting and analysis across digital and broadcast platforms.

Cooke brings more than a decade of experience as an attorney, strategist, and media analyst focused on national security, immigration law, and federal policy. Before joining the Daily Signal, she served as president of American Frontier Strategies and held senior legal roles in Ohio state government, including as general counsel at the Ohio Department of Agriculture and assistant general counsel to the Ohio governor.

Her background includes work as a terrorism analyst with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio and as a national security and terrorism analyst overseas. Cooke is a graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law and holds a master’s degree in political science.

She regularly appears on national television and radio to provide analysis on immigration, national security, elections, and public policy.
