House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries vowed to keep fighting President Donald Trump’s administration as he celebrated the ousting of “unqualified corrupt political hack” former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday.

Kristi Noem presided over the cold-blooded killings of American citizens like Nicole Good and Alex Pretti,” Jeffries said. “She’s gotta be put on ice permanently.”

“Republicans have failed the American people in every possible way,” Jeffries added, stating that he will continue to fight for the removal of other senior officials such as Attorney General Pamela Bondi and “cold blooder liar” Special Advisor Stephen Miller.

Noem has been rotated by President Donald Trump to lead a new security initiative the Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, which Trump will announce on Saturday in Doral, Florida.

During the press conference, Jeffries also hinted that the Democrats will not give up on their demands to reform Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

In February, Democratic leadership unveiled a list of demands for ICE to adopt, which include limiting immigration enforcement near voting locations and opening the door for states to sue the administration.

“We have to make sure ICE conducts itself like any other law enforcement agency in the country,” Jeffries said, hinting that Republicans should adhere to their demands if they want to increase their chances of winning the midterm elections.

“The Trump administration is deeply unpopular. Abandon your my way or the highway approach,” he added.

Jeffries added that nothing will change because a new DHS chief will be put in place. Trump announced on Truth Social on Thursday that Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., will replace Noem.

“What we have to do right now is to deal with what’s in front of us,” Jeffries said referring to the White House.

“It’s not like Kristi Noem was in charge of anything,” Jeffries said. “We will continue dealing with the White House like we have always done.”
