Hunter Biden’s business associates’ more than 80 visits to the White House is more evidence that Hunter Biden’s various business enterprises were all about President Joe Biden, House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer told The Daily Signal.

Associates and business partners of the president’s son visited the White House while Biden was vice president, Fox News first reported on Tuesday.

“It’s no surprise that Biden family associates frequently visited the Obama-Biden White House,” Comer told The Daily Signal in an email statement.

“This is more evidence showing the Biden family enterprise centered around Joe Biden’s political career,” Comer continued. “Americans deserve answers about the Biden family’s business schemes and we will keep pressing for transparency and accountability.”

Among the highest ranking executives with Rosemont Seneca Advisors, Joan Mayer, vice president of the investment firm from 2008 to 2017, made at least 17 visits during that time period, according to the White House visitor logs, Fox News reported. The company has since folded.

She attended a vice presidential briefing in fall 2009 and separately met with a Biden executive assistant, Nancy Orloff. In summer 2013, she met in the West Wing with another aide to the vice president, then returned in December 2013 to attend holiday receptions at the vice president’s home, Number One Observatory Circle.

She attended the same event in December 2014. In September 2015, she attended a Jewish community reception at the vice president’s residence and met with the vice president’s associate counsel, Kaitlyn Demers, in June 2016 at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, next door to the White House, where the vice president’s ceremonial office is located.

Hunter Biden teamed with Christopher Heinz, the stepson of then-Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to start Rosemont Seneca in 2008. A third partner in the firm was Devon Archer, who the two knew from Yale.

Archer visited then-Vice President Biden in 2009 and 2014. The December 2009 visit was a holiday reception at the vice presidential residence. The April 2014 visit was to see the vice president in the West Wing. He played golf with Vice President Biden in August 2014 in the Hamptons on Long Island.

Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., said this information discredits the repeated claims by the president that he knew nothing about his son’s business enterprises.

“You’re telling me that Hunter Biden’s business partners visited the White House over 80 times when Joe Biden was vice president, and he didn’t know a single thing about his son’s business dealings? That’s clearly a lie,” Tiffany told The Daily Signal in an email statement. “Whether it’s Hunter Biden lying on Form 4473 to purchase a gun, lying on his taxes, or lying about his business dealings, there’s undoubtedly a two-tiered system of justice in America right now.”

Hunter Biden met in 2012 with Jonathan Li, the head of Chinese private equity fund Bohai Capital, and formed a partnership between Bohai and Rosemont Seneca. The vice president’s son flew on Air Force Two with his father to China on Dec. 4, 2013, where the vice president met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Hunter Biden also arranged for Li to meet his father.

Less than two weeks after Li met the vice president, Rosemont Seneca struck a $1 billion private equity deal with a subsidiary of the Bank of China. Yet Bohai Capital told The New Yorker in a piece published in July 2019 that the deal had been reached before the meeting with the vice president.

Rosemont Seneca’s connections with China are notable, said Paul Kamenar, senior counsel for the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog that has been investigating the Biden family enterprises.

“The White House was an annex of Rosemont Seneca,” Kamenar told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.

“Everyone who visited the White House should be subpoenaed by the Oversight and Accountability Committee,” he continued. “We have already argued that Hunter Biden should have registered as a foreign agent. These other people should have as well since they could get serious preference in terms of these visits.”

The White House did not respond to an inquiry from The Daily Signal for this story. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard Air Force One Tuesday that Hunter Biden was traveling with the president to Ireland.

Hunter Biden’s assistant, Anne Marie Person, visited the Obama White House at least five times before she left the company in 2014 to join then-Vice President Biden’s staff, according to Fox. Among those visits was an April 2014 visit with then-vice presidential assistant Kathy Chung, now the Defense Department’s deputy director of protocol under the Biden administration. As a vice presidential aide, Chung reportedly transmitted the vice president’s schedule to Hunter Biden.

Person’s brother, Fran Person, helped connect Rosemont Seneca with officials in the Chinese Communist Party. Fran Person visited the White House at least seven times, according to Fox News.

Fox News previously reported that one of Hunter Biden’s business partners in Rosemont Seneca, Eric Schwerin, had visited the White House 27 times, including a 2016 meeting with Biden’s aide, now President Biden’s White House counselor.

John Robinson Walker, another former Hunter Biden business partner at Rosemont Seneca, was on the White House visitor logs at least 16 times during the eight years Biden served as vice president. The House Oversight Committee obtained records showing Biden family members got more than $1 million from accounts related to Walker and Chinese business ventures in 2017.

Other Hunter Biden associates named in the story were his personal assistant, Katie Dodge, and Arlene Busch, formerly a partner at Rosemont Seneca Partners, the parent company of Rosemont Seneca Advisors.
