Rep. Marsha Blackburn: Panel Probing Planned Parenthood Finds ‘Surprising Amount of Agreement’

U.S. Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee speaking at the 2015 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Maryland. Please attribute to Gage Skidmore if used elsewhere.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., says the goal of her House panel looking at Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers is to determine whether the law must be “tightened” because the abortion industry is violating it.

“Our hearing [Thursday] was on the ethics of fetal tissue research,” Blackburn, chairwoman of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, told me in an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC. “Our goal is … to see whether something is inside or outside of the law.”

See what Blackburn means by “a surprising amount of agreement” among Republicans and Democrats on finding out whether Planned Parenthood and others broke the law by trafficking in the organs and other body parts of aborted babies.
