The Center for Medical Progress released its 11th video on Tuesday.
The video shows a conversation between David Daleiden, the founder of the Center for Medical Progress, who was acting as a buyer from a human biologics company, and Dr. Amna Dermish, an abortion provider at Planned Parenthood’s Greater Texas affiliate in Austin.
Dermish, who performs abortions up to 22 weeks of gestation, described procuring an intact brain as “something to strive for.”
Dermish described how she performs a second-trimester abortion procedure.
“I always try to keep the trunk [torso] intact, just by function of always trying to aim for the spine to bring it down,” Dermish said, as she motioned performing the procedure with her arm.
Dermish also describes using ultrasound guidance to convert the baby to breech presentation, which the Center for Medical Progress describes as identical to the illegal partial-birth abortion procedure.
Dermish said she was trained by Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s senior director of medical services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who was featured in the first video released by the Center for Medical Progress.
“Less than four miles away from the Texas state capitol, Planned Parenthood routinely practices barbaric partial-birth abortions on living, late-term fetuses,” Daleiden said in a statement. “Planned Parenthood’s crimes are not just the result of local bad actors, but are tolerated and even encouraged at the highest levels of the national organization. State-level criminal investigations must press charges, and Congress’ new select committee must pursue a deep and comprehensive accounting of Planned Parenthood’s atrocities against humanity.”
Planned Parenthood did not immediately return The Daily Signal’s request for comment.
The videos have raised allegations that Planned Parenthood is trafficking the body parts of aborted babies. Profiting from the sale of human organs—including the organs of the unborn—is a felony in the United States.
Spokespersons for Planned Parenthood have denied participation in illegal transactions, and the organization recently announced that it will no longer accept “reimbursement” for donations of body parts to researchers.
Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, announced last week that the state will end Planned Parenthood’s participation in its Medicaid program. The organization is under investigation in Texas.
The Daily Signal previously reported that Daleiden recently previewed the footage of his conversation with Dermish during an interview on TheBlaze.
