‘A Little Aggressive’: Governor Surprised by Militarization of Ferguson Police

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon said on ABC’s “This Week” that he was “thunderstruck” by the “overmilitarization” of law enforcement in Ferguson. After taking heat for his response to the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by a local officer, the Democratic governor acknowledged the push for heavily armored police pointing guns at folks was “a little aggressive.”
