An astonishing number of visitors to Healthcare.gov did not enroll in Obamacare, according to the Compete, a web traffic analysis service.

In an article examining the glitch-prone website, Compete reported that “just 36,000 consumers, or 1% of all those who attempted to register for the federal exchange, successfully enrolled in Obamacare.”

Here are a few people who tried, with no avail, to access the site:

Compete’s report concluded, “Healthcare.gov was clearly unprepared to handle the huge spike in traffic witnessed on October 1st when it was visited by .9% (or 1 in 114) of everyone online in the U.S. This is roughly equivalent to the daily traffic on Target.com.”

Luke Chung, an online database builder, told CBS, “I would be ashamed and embarrassed if my organization delivered something like that.”
