Matt Damon’s anti-fracking movie (financed by an oil-rich Arab nation) was a dud at the box office this month. Let’s hope that’s a sign Americans won’t entertain such Hollywood propaganda.

Fortunately, there’s now an alternative that presents a different perspective on hydraulic fracturing. Filmmakers Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney and Magdalena Segieda have created a documentary called “FrackNation” that takes on Josh Fox’s misleading and inaccurate “Gasland,” the most prominent anti-fracking film.

Phelim McAleer will join us Tuesday at the Bloggers Briefing to talk about the film, which was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $210,000 from about 3,300 supporters.

Following his presentation, we’ll learn about a new book from Students for Life, “Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in this Lifetime.” Kristan Hawkins, the book’s author and president of Students for Life, will be with us. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
