The Washington Post put together a handy infographic examining the distribution of $36 billion in Energy Department financing for renewable energy companies. Solar power generation companies were the largest beneficiaries of DOE’s “investments,” with twelve companies having received a third of the financing under the program.

5 commentsI noticed several projects in Nevada. Apparently, Senator Reid bringing home the bacon for his state and jobs for his constitutents, but opposes helping other states and workers with the Keystone pipeline. What other Democratic members are benefitting from these loans? Not only are these govt loans not within the enumerating rights in the Constitution of Congress, but they are a waste of taxpayers' hard earned money. Give the money back to the taxpayers to use as they find best for themselves. It is a myth that Mr. Obama is "smarter" the American taxpayer.
Obama is one of the most naive and least wise of any of our presidents.
I agree that many of these projects are in Nevada. Is that really the location of the most need for infrastructure and power? Then let me guess which state will need the most subsidies for the people to purchase the power at market rates. What a racket. Harry Reid is nothing more than a poison for this country and we are getting sicker and sicker.
How lovely to see land with huge windmills and acres and acres of cells rather than space…it is part of the 'taking' of private land by the US government and local governments are in support and following the various ICLEI (AKA UN's Agenda 21) measures. Please, take the time-it is lengthly-to learn about this plan for the 21st century that Bush Sr signed the USA up for in Rio in 1992 and the impact it will eventually have on this country and the world.
Since when did Nuclear Power become a Renewable Energy? Hey Guest, Solar isn't a secret Government take over. Relax come over we can bbq and talk about infrastructure and energy.
