8 commentsI'm completely convinced that if the Framers were to materialize out of thin air in close proximity to an OWS protest site that the first thing that they would do is to begin to build stocks to teach the protesters a real lesson in the vagaries of law-abiding, civilized society. These men who sacrificed so much would have little sympathy or feeling towards the parasites who appear to comprise the OWS crowd. I am sure that the newly materialized Framers would emphasize responsibility of citizenship in the same measure as the layabout complainers emphasize their "rights." It would be one kick-a$$, constitutional cage fight to be sure! And I would not bet against the tri-cornered hat team for one moment!!!
For the OWS and 99%ers to get their way they would have to shred the Constitution and we the 53% would not let that happen.
Found this response on another site and believe it is succinct and frankly, awesome :
PART 1
Nothing is “free.” Protesting with signs that seek “free” college degrees and “free” health care make you look like idiots, because colleges and hospitals don’t operate on rainbows and sunshine. There is no magic money machine to tap for your meandering educational careers and “slow paths” to adulthood, and the 53 percent of taxpaying Americans owe you neither a degree nor an annual physical.
While I’m pointing out this obvious fact, here are a few other things that are not free: overtime for police officers and municipal workers, trash hauling, repairs to fixtures and property, condoms, Band-Aids and the food that inexplicably appears on the tables in your makeshift protest kitchens. Real people with real dollars are underwriting your civic temper tantrum.
Your word is your bond. When you demonstrate to eliminate student loan debt, you are advocating precisely the lack of integrity you decry in others.
You mean your against fairness?
Please define "fairness." I may be against it. P.S. 'your' should be spelled 'you're' (for you are).
Theirs no such thing as "Fairness". Thanks
OWS crowd has a right to assemble, but that is where the rights end.. The rest is pure political theater that looks more like Greece then America.. Throw in the brainwashing and propaganda of the liberal media and we have what this Administration has become… The total opposite of our founders.. Fairness is a socialist term that has been perverted in the present day dialog by those in the media to mean "equal stuff in everyones home," whether you have worked for it or not.. Those who want socialism please leave this country so that those of us that love this country may keep whats left of freedom in the world secure for future generations to prosper and enjoy.
