  People keep trying to analyze these proposals as change designed to fix our problems (i.e. to help the economy, bring a new change to the way we use energy(but not use as much as now), fix health care etc.) when in fact they are all about securing power (socialist, progressive power grab) and raising taxes to support the new welfare state.

  Unfortunately your State sounds exactly like my own, Oregon. Today two tax measures were passed that WILL triple the tax on anyone making over $125,000 per year. You can add another $25,000 for joint filing.

  The majority of Oregon employers, 95+% are Mom and Pop companies. So in effect, we in Oregon, have become the first Welfare State in the Union, beating out California because the Citizens did not have a vote in these tax measures.

  Combined with the Obama burdens, maybe we are better off. Personally, my wife and I are going to look for land in Texas, and the rest of the Obama supporters can go to hell, as Davy Crocket would have said.
