The Double Standard

You’ve probably heard about Samantha Bee’s comments about the first daughter, Ivanka Trump, but if not, here it is:

You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c—. He listens to you.

So, none of this should be surprising.

Samantha Bee is just another liberal comedian—so-called—who thinks the more vulgar you are, the funnier you are.

And much of the left-wing media, well, they were fine with it because these comments were said about someone with different political beliefs than theirs.

But my guess is, if Roseanne Barr had sent the tweet she did about Valerie Jarrett, if she’d said it about a black conservative like Candace Owens, the media would probably have left her alone as well.

But just because this isn’t surprising doesn’t mean it isn’t wrong. Samantha Bee has come out and apologized, but it’s not because everybody on the left was encouraging her to do so.

This was outrageous behavior and we have to call them out on it, every single time.
