VIDEO: Rubio Gives 5 Reasons to Defund Obamacare

“There are people in Washington that love to say, ‘We’re against Obamacare.’ How can you be against Obamacare but vote for a budget that funds its implementation when you know the harm that it’s going to do?”

That was Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) last night on “The O’Reilly Factor” arguing that Congress should defund Obamacare. Rubio pointed out that President Obama is not going to come out and say that the law is broken, so Congress should defund it before any more of its “chaos” can unfold. Rubio pointed out five key reasons to stop Obamacare before it continues down its path to destruction.

1. The economy will suffer.

“What’s sabotaging our economy is the Obamacare law as it’s being implemented… This affects a sixth of the U.S. economy.”

2. The middle class will be hurt.

“Every single day, we’re now seeing new news reports about the harm that it’s doing, particularly to middle class and working class Americans, the very people the law claims to help.”

3. Jobs are at stake.

“I’m worried about the people who are going to lose their jobs… I’m worried about the people who are going to lose hours… I don’t want these things to happen to them.”

4. Labor unions are against it.

“[Labor unions] have now become some of the most vocal opponents of the law because of what it’s doing to the 30- or 40-hour work week, because of how it’s hurting working class Americans.”

5. People are losing their current health plans.

“I’m worried about the people who are going to lose their existing doctor-patient relationship… The impact it’s going to have on millions of Americans who have health insurance and are happy with it is going to be dramatic and painful.”
