VIDEO: Feulner and Limbaugh Discuss the Threats to America’s Future

In their new book, “The American Spirit: Celebrating the Virtues and Values that Make Us Great,” Dr. Edwin J. Feulner and Brian Tracy celebrate the meaning of what it is to be an American, and explore why concepts like American Exceptionalism and the American Dream still matter.

Americans, of course, hold no monopoly on virtue on values, but it is the unique expression of those traits, individually expressed, that the authors point to in underscoring America’s storied and generous nature, like individuality, unbridled optimism, responsibility, an embrasure of faith and respect for the law, and a reliance on capitalism and ingenuity to foster prosperity. This positive combination has made the United States a beacon and refuge of freedom and opportunity.

Everywhere, threats challenge the American recipe, and vigilance and courage provide bulwarks against backsliding away from prosperity and liberty.

“We must find the courage to endure, to persevere, to keep on keeping on in the face of all failure, setbacks, and discouragement. America is great because it admires and rewards courage and perseverance at a higher level and more consistently than any other country,” the authors argue in their chapter on courage.

Feulner, president of The Heritage Foundation, will address The Bloggers Briefing today to discuss the book. He will be joined by author David Limbaugh, who also has a new book—“The Great Destroyer: Barack Obama’s War on the Republic”—at The Bloggers Briefing on Tuesday at noon ET. Limbaugh’s newest offering painstakingly details the efforts of President Obama—a “one-man wrecking ball”—as a man bent on achieving the fundamental transformation he promised in his 2008 campaign.

Using an economically-lethal cocktail of market-destroying regulations, subsidy-reinforced crony capitalism, and an unparalleled hostility to Constitutional principles of individual liberty, Limbaugh argues that the Obama administration is waging nothing short of full-scale war on America.

“Obama implements his power-grabs through administrative usurpations of legislative power, executive overreaches, and unconstitutional legislation, assisted by the many radical, unaccountable czars he has appointed,” Limbaugh says.
